Samidha has been a learning and development consultant and a certified Image coach with an extensive background in Training and Quality for 15+ years with leading multinational corporations. Over the years, after having met and trained individuals on a global level, She felt that our empathy towards mother earth is getting lost. We are working like robots and have never realised what we are doing to our planet.

In 2013 after reading a quote which said “There is no Planet “B”, Samidha decided to start a campaign calling it “Green Karma” which would educate our society on the benefits of composting and recycling. Apart from her full-time day job she started working on weekends holding Outreach programs, awareness campaigns, attending Tea/chai discussions on waste management and addressing seminars with anyone who was willing to make a change in how we handle trash. Asking to make a change is not easy. Delhi NCR is one of the most polluted cities in the world. She has been instrumental in creating awareness in North India by going door to door demonstrating on how to best manage household waste, she single-handedly reached out to many private and public businesses to adopt composting.

Soon realising along with education, she also needs to provide sustainable solutions. Samidha partnered with Daily Dump, a Bangalore based waste management solution company. She turned her campaign to a company and started “Green Karma & Associates” to bring in passionate campaigners under one roof and to have a wider reach in North India. She even introduced RWA’s to Decentralised Community Composting and has provided sustainable solutions which have avoided wet waste going to the landfills.

Today, Samidha is a full-time campaigner for Green Karma, still travels and speaks passionately on how to achieve Zero Food Waste. As a start-up founder, she has introduced her own product and service which will focus on the end-to-end composting cycle for bulk waste generators. She has been actively involved in the Swatchh Bharat (Clean India) campaign since its inception. Not for any gain or glory but to simply give back to mother nature unconditionally.
